Behind the Scenes
While the legendary father-daughter duo never performed live together, there are few moments as touching as Natalie Cole singing “Unforgettable” as a duet with a recording of her late, great father, Nat King Cole. Known for the more than 100 hit songs he recorded, his smooth voice, and for being the first Black artist to host a nationally broadcast TV show in the United States, Nat King Cole’s legacy extends far beyond his timeless interpretations of hits from The Great American Songbook (including “Fly Me To The Moon,” “Smile,” and more); his legacy extends to his daughter. Natalie paved her own path to becoming a great American jazz and R&B singer. In Unforgettable: Nat & Natalie, Schirmer Theatrical and Greenberg Artists strive to give audiences the chance to enjoy the father-daughter duo’s music together, performed by real-life friends and collaborators, Denzal Sinclaire and Dee Daniels.
Since its debut concerts with The Florida Orchestra in January 2019, Unforgettable has been performed by orchestras throughout the US and Canada, including orchestras in Omaha, Oregon, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Vail, Kentucky, Fort Worth, Dayton, and Rochester.
